Stuart Forrest
Stuart is an experienced European and UK patent attorney specialising in chemistry and life sciences.
He has particular experience in pharmaceuticals, industrial chemistry, chemical engineering, formulation chemistry, medical devices, vaccines, coatings and films, and transdermal patches.
Stuart has advised some of the largest corporations in the US and Europe, and regularly counsels his clients on global portfolio management, IP strategies and lifecycle management.
He has substantial experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications before the UK Intellectual Property Office (UKIPO) and European Patent Office (EPO), and has represented his clients in multiple EPO opposition and appeal proceedings.
Stuart assists the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys (CIPA) in the UK, as the chair of the Patents Committee, and as a member of a delegation which meets regularly with the UKIPO to discuss practice issues.
Stuart also sits on the Firm’s Operations Board.
