He is adept at tailoring his IP advice to the particular client, whether they are a small start-up or a large corporation with an established in-house IP team. As a Chartered (UK) and European Trade Mark Attorney, Meena specialises in global brand protection and the management of trade mark portfolios of all shapes and sizes. Meena’s legal background, her specialist in-house experience and her commercial, pragmatic approach make her uniquely skilled within the field of intellectual property law.
Richard handles a wide variety of chemical technologies in a diverse range of commercial fields, including fuel cells, composites for aero engines, alloys, polymers, printing ink/toner and cosmetic active ingredients, such as anti-dandruff actives and sunscreens. He is also at home in mechanical fields and has worked extensively in areas such as medical implants and oil and gas technologies. For six years, Richard was a member of the electromechanics examination committee for qualifying as a European Patent Attorney. Richard also has a great deal of experience and expertise in handling EPO oral proceedings.
Having studied General Engineering at Durham University, Callum is comfortable handling a broad range of technologies and engineering principles. In particular, Callum has experience working with inventions in the areas of oil and gas, medical devices, automotive, photonics and renewable technologies. He enjoys helping businesses use their IP as a commercial tool that can be used to develop and grow a business. In his spare time Callum can often be found on the golf course or out on his bike.
Jessica trained as a Patent Attorney after completing her undergraduate degree at Cambridge University. She mostly handles mechanical work, and has experience in fields including the automotive industry, pet equipment, toys and medical devices. She has particular experience providing freedom to operate advice and in advising clients in alleged infringement situations. When not working, Jessica spends her time swimming, powerlifting or dog training.
Louise handles work across the physics, engineering, electronics and computing fields and has particular experience working on medical devices, software-related technologies, optics and sports equipment. She has considerable experience in EPO opposition proceedings and in drafting initial applications for individuals, SMEs and university departments to ensure strategic early protection for their key inventions. Louise enjoys playing football and travelling in her spare time.
Annie was the first ever student to be awarded a scholarship to study Intellectual Property Law at the Queen Mary University London as a result of her application based on trade marks. Following her studies, she was awarded a one-year internship enabling her to live and work in Spain as a Trade Mark Examiner for the EUIPO (the EU trade mark registry). In this role, she developed a very firm understanding of the legalities surrounding the registrability of a mark and the nature of registry objections; areas on which she is able to frequently rely when advising clients. Annie is now a Chartered Trade Mark Attorney. In her spare time, she continues to learn Spanish with a view to taking private examinations.
Having worked in IP for over 20 years, Gail is vastly experienced in trade mark legal formalities with a particular interest in US use requirements. Having previously managed the trade mark renewals department for both a specialised annuities firm and for one of Europe’s largest patent and trade mark attorney firms, Gail has excellent administration and organisational skills coupled with an in-depth knowledge of trade mark maintenance worldwide. She understands the importance in even the tiniest of details and works to provide clients with the right solution to meet their IP needs.
With a PhD in Bioengineering and a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Edinburgh, James possesses a broad knowledge of Science and Engineering. His PhD focused on engineering novel biomaterials to promote the regeneration of damaged/diseased tissue; therefore, naturally, James’ interests lie in all things related to healthcare, medical devices and biomaterials. However, he is also passionate about novel technologies in the oil and gas sector after spending several months as part of the R&D department in the world’s largest oil and gas services company. Beyond the office, James enjoys golf, rugby and climbing.

Hannah began her career in intellectual property at a large international IP firm before joining a specialist global renewals and annuities provider. More recent experience as an IP Paralegal has broadened her experience, and she now provides assistance to attorneys in relation to patents, trade marks and registered designs. Hannah has continuously developed her skills and knowledge in IP, this being exemplified by her recent CIPA qualification as a Patent Administrator. As our administration and accounts clerk, Saki has extensive previous experience providing administrative support in a large academic institute and now handles the company’s administrative and accounting functions including invoicing, credit control and book-keeping functions.
