His previous role as a patent office examiner distinguishes Steven from most other attorneys. A physicist by training, Steven is adept at getting to grips with a broad range of technologies within the wider engineering field. He is also a specialist in registered designs. He likes a challenge and once participated in a charity cycle from Helsinki (Finland) to Nice (France).
Having studied Natural Sciences at Cambridge University, Avir handles a wide range of subject-matter stretching from mechanical to software-related technologies and has considerable experience in handling EPO Oral Proceedings before the Opposition and Examining Divisions, and the Boards of Appeal. He is adept at tailoring his IP advice to the particular client, whether they are a small start-up or a large corporation with an established in-house IP team. Avir enjoys motorsports and playing racket sports in his free time.
As a Chartered (UK) and European Trade Mark Attorney, Meena specialises in global brand protection and the management of trade mark portfolios of all shapes and sizes. Meena’s legal background, her specialist in-house experience and her commercial, pragmatic approach make her uniquely skilled within the field of intellectual property law.
Past experience as an in-house attorney within the oil and gas sector has given Suzanne a different perspective of the patent attorney profession. Being embedded within engineering teams and tasked with capturing intellectual property rights at their source and actively managing a portfolio of rights was both challenging and rewarding.
Having worked in IP for over 20 years, Gail is vastly experienced in trade mark legal formalities with a particular interest in US use requirements. Having previously managed the trade mark renewals department for both a specialised annuities firm and for one of Europe’s largest patent and trade mark attorney firms, Gail has excellent administration and organisational skills coupled with an in-depth knowledge of trade mark maintenance worldwide. She understands the importance in even the tiniest of details and works to provide clients with the right solution to meet their IP needs.
Kim’s meticulous attention to detail and her project management, team-working and IT skills have their origins within the field of architecture. Those attributes have since successfully transitioned to the world of intellectual property. Architectural experience has taught Kim that seemingly innocuous mistakes can have unforeseen consequences for a building’s foundations. Clients can be assured that the legal documents underpinning their intellectual property rights will have been checked and double-checked at every stage of the process.
Gemma’s knowledge and experience as a Trade Mark Searcher and Paralegal (within one of the UK’s largest trade mark filing firms); and as a Brand Protection Specialist (within one of the UK’s largest law firms) adds further strength and depth to our Trade Mark team.
Nicole benefits from diverse experience across several administrative support positions stretching back to 2009, focussing latterly in the Legal Services sector. Among her many roles, Nicole provides reception, mail and facilities management support to our IP Paralegal and the wider attorney team.
